Excel In Your Gift of Serving
Do
you believe you have been called to serve? Great, because
Father God has called YOU! It is a great honor to do what
you have been asked to do. It means He trusts you with His
sheep. You may be called as a pastor, a church leader, an
assistant, an elder, an Armorbearer, an usher, a ministry
leader or simply a helper in the local church. Of course,
the list goes on but my point is leaders and helpers alike
have been called to serve God. Wherever you have been called
to serve, I encourage you to excel in your gift of serving.
Helpers,
step out of your comfort zone. Strive to serve in those
capacities that challenge you, stretch you, and make you
grow. Serve even if it makes you uncomfortable for a season.
Surprise a few people close to you by doing something for
them they would not ordinarily expect from you. Find someone
who needs your serving attitude and minister to them. In
the ministry and attitude of serving, Jesus set the standard-serving
the Father, serving others, and walking in humility.
Leaders
don't reject your helpers because you see the wrong motive
for the good they are doing. Be patient; accept all that
come. Work with them where they are. Receive the level of
commitment they have to offer. Your patience will give God
the opportunity to work with their motives. Be mindful of
the times you did the right thing for not quite the right
reasons.

Serve Leading Others with Generous Faith!
We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what
we give. Winston Churchill, Sir
Fear
operates in insecurity and may cause you to hold back when
you should release all you have in faith to your trainee.
Fear will prevent you from training the help you need. It
will block the help that will have your back if there's an
emergency.
I believe there's a blessing for those who have the faith
to train others. The seed you sow in your brothers and sisters
in Christ will cause you to reap a harvest, that's a law in
Christ.
You see, as you obey the word of God it will position you
for promotion, and establish where you stand in Christ. Establishing
authority is one of the most important foundations of your
ministry. Remember, it must be established by the generous
application of the word of God and in love...

Should I Try to Explain Armorbearing to My Pastor?
Honestly, have you felt my leader just doesn't GET IT
and thought maybe I should try to explain...Wait! Stop right
there, here's a perspective you must read...
I
know you advocate being submissive to one's leaders and truly
I am...I have been serving as Armorbearer to my First Lady
for over 5 years now. I love what I do and seldom feel as
fulfilled in ministry as when I am serving God by serving
my First Lady. I know that this is God's appointment for me.
My leader is also in agreement with this. My problem is this.
I often feel that I am not being allowed to fully reach my
potential as AB to my leader.
However,
I feel very much that some of the hesitation is because my
leader's spouse, my Pastor, does not fully understand the
nature of our relationship in the spirit and in service and
discourages her in fully utilizing my skills.
In
part, my leader may not fully understand what being an armorbearer
really means. Should I try to discuss this with leader to
make sure there is no confusion about my willingness and ability
to serve? Further, is there something you can recommend to
help Pastor better understand our ministry dynamic and that
it is appointed by God...
