The qualities that David posessed to qualify for service to the king were: He was faithful in small things, such as tending to his fathers sheep, and he had a servants heart. God raised him up and trusted him in bigger things such as being the kings amorbearer.

David was faithful, humble, and loyal to God. He wouldn't even slay Saul when he had the chance because David knew that he Saul was still King at this time and the annoingting was not removed as of yet.

David was not a willing servant but a committed servant who was faithful in heart.

David was devoted to God first; he was obedient and faithful when no one else was looking he truly had a servants heart. David was victorious over daily challenges before he faced one of the biggest challenges of his life-defeating the giant. Lastly David was very respectful with those who had authority over him.

Devotion to his leader. Victorious living. Overcoming each challenge place before him one at the time. Respect. Reverant and respectful. Courage. Not looking back but knowing what is expected and doing it.

David was loyal, devoted, honest, and a man of God. He would lay down his life for Saul. He would do anything that Saul would ask of him because Saul was annoited.

David was a worshipper. Very humble, he loved God with all his heart. He was courageous, nothing could stop him. Whatever he did, it was unto God.

5. What qualities qualified David for his service to King Saul as an armorbearer?
To name a few; he was devoted to God, victorious in his small ministry (taking good care of the literal sheep), he had respect to others and was courageous. On the other hand, David qualified to the service of the king (Saul) because it was his God-given destiny. Therefore, armorbearing is no ordinary task. it is an adventure ordained by God.
