He was teaching us through demonstration that you should put others before yourself.

We are not to be self centered. Christ died that we may have life, therefore we should think of others before ourselves, being that we are Christ like.

Jesus = Love     Because his love toward us he was willing to give his life for us.  LOVE, SELFLESSNESS, LOVE
