4. Why do you think the author declares God wants renewed respect for His authority structure?
When we respect God's authority, will respect others in authority. If you look in the church and society today there is a lack of respect for authority there

Renewed respect for God's authority structure is needed because so many do not know the importance of an authority structure. Or some think they can do a better job than the pastor's themselves not realizing the task the leaders have. Moreover, when one do not respect leadership how can they respect God. God is a God of order. Everything must be done right. God chooses certain people to be leaders just as he chose Moses. He did not chose the sons of Korah or anyone else. He chose Moses to do the job. People have to understand that God is in charge and He put whom he want in that position. Furthermore, these leaders has to be intune with God always because they are leading God's people into the promise land. But due to hirelings many have come to disrepect authority. However, all is not hirelings. That is why the Word says know those who labor among you. If you leader is walking upright before God follow your leader. But if your leader go astray and cause others to follow him, woe unto the pastor. Moreover, get from up under that minister because the leaders are not walking uprightly before God. They are hirelings who will not protect the sheep when the wolf comes.

In this time period, there is not a reverential fear of God; due to that, people have lost their respect for the man or woman of God that is over them. People do not honor God and therefore, they don't honor the structure that He has formatted.

Respect for God's authority structure was lost in the garden. When we submit and obey authority we are making a decision or choosing to agree with God. We are accountable to some one. In the Kingdom of God we are accountable to Him through our obedience  to the instructions and teachings given by those He has placed in authority positions. This same principle satan uses in his kingdom. Loss of respect for God's plan leads to disobedience and sin of the flesh. To be ruler over many things or a leader you must be a servant or one that follows instructions.

TO RESPECT THOSE THAT GOD HAS PLACE AS OUR AUTHORITY FIGURES IS RESPECTING HIM. HE WANTS US TO RESPECT AND SERVE THOSE IN AUTHORITY JUST AS WE WOULD SERVE AND RESPECT HIM.
