In order to be accountable you must submit.  They go hand in hand.

Submit simply means " To yield or surrender (oneself) to the will or authority of another" (Dictionary.com)

When you are accountable to someone, that means whatever they say (if it is in the will of God), you have to submit to it.

For example, according to my mentor and mother in the arts, she requires us to let her know where we are going as well as coming to support each other's events. Letting her know where we are going is helping us be accountable and she lets us to know where she is going so we know what to pray.

When we submit to authority we automatically become accountable to that authority. Therefore there is no submission without accountability.

1. The author sates submit and be accountable can be interchanged, how so?

Both accountability and submission is a choice of a person's will. Will my choice be to do as i please or as instructed? It a choice to refer to another for direction, instruction, judgment, counsel, it is to give up self to follow another. Simply it is dying to self not seeking my rights and wants and doing as told.

WHEN YOU COMPLETELY SUBMIT TO GOD, HE HOLDS YOU ACCOUNTABLE. WHEN YOU KNOW BETTER YOU ARE EXPECTED TO DO BETTER.
