Submit and accountable can be interchanged as the Bible verse that says Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. The word submit can change to be accountable to one another out of reverence or obey your leaders and submit or be accountable to their authority.

Both Submission and Accountability are presentations of approval. So, when you submit to someone you have the responsibility of giving an "account" to them of that they have required of you.

To submit is to be under anothers authority. Accountable is to be responsible to another person so the two are basically one and the same. Once you submit to the will and rule of another you are answerable or responsible for the requests or demands or actions that are asked of you.

When you submit to someone else you are making yourself accountable unto that individual(s). When you submit to someone you allow them to know your whereabouts, how much money you are spending, being there for them etc...

When I submit to leadership, I have to be accountable, one cannot work without the other.  Total submission equals total accountability.  Nothing can be compromised or withheld.

switch each of (two things) into the place of the other.
To give and receive mutually; exchange.
To change places with each other.

When you submit, you are also being held accountable for your actions. Is what you are submitting to, what God want you to? You have to be lead by the Holy Spirit I believe

When I submit to someone I do as I am instructed. When I am accountable I report what I am doing and where I am. I dont see how they can be interchangable, but I do see how if you submit, you are also accountable.

To submit and to be held accountable is that we should yield to the power or authority of another and be answereable to them. We are each other armorbearers in ministry. We ought gave account to some one other than our leaders?
