do it as unto God, because we want to do our very best for him. Then we are not looking for a reward from man

When serving, do not look at man, but look as if you are serving God himself.

To me, ephesians 6:7 means that when you serve you shouldn't worry about if you get any accolades and you shouldn't serve with any type of resentment.  When you serve you should do what you cheerfully as if it was the Lord standing before you.

Work in the spirit for our spiritual father all for the glory and honor of our Lord. Work in excellence as Jesus is our King.

We should serve everyone and do everything as if we are doing it unto God the Father. we are to serve God and not man so even if we are doing something for man it should be as if we are doing it for God, because we are serving God and not man. Working in the Spirit and not the Flesh.

To me it means that you abandon your personal feelings about things and people and you see them as God sees them. You see pass them and see the God and them..because thats who it is about!!

I think that he means that whatever we do for the Lord let it be from the heart to please God and not men. This is were I backslide on God because I upheld people up on a higher ground than God. I was aiming at pleasing men and not God. I was off balance. But I am glad to say that my heart is at pleasing God and doing the things he wants me to do wholeheartly.

To mean Ephesians 6:7 means always provide your best not seeking the approval or validation of whom you are servicing with disregard your own feelings about the person or their platform and see them as the Lord does until He releases you.

This means no matter how your pastor, ministry leader or any body else mistreats you, you have to look pass them and have to remember that you are doing it for the Lord.

Paul was saying that we honor God when we do for others. Sometimes we may not feel like doing something for someone but we don't do things to please ourselves; we do things to please God.

2. In your own words, what did the Apostle Paul mean when he said, "Serve wholeheartedly as if you were serving the Lord, not men. --Eph. 6:7

Paul is saying that we must stay focus to the assignment of service He gave. We serve as unto the Lord. Anytime we take our focus off serving the Lord and begin to look at serving man we will begin to try and please man instead of God. Many problems arise when we stop serving God to serve a person. I must do what God has given me to do at all times. Instructions come from God in our private prayer time and confirmed by the man or woman of God we assist.
