God is love and in order to operate in the gifts of God you must operate first in love.

I think that the Apostle Paul meant that Love encompasses the gifts in your life. Love enhances the gifts. God is Love therefore, if we say we Love him whom we have not seen, then we should exemplify that love more so towards our fellowman.

God is Love and those that are called to service by God should operate in the Spirit of Love.  How can we preach the gospel without love.

You must be baptized in love to want to give of your spiritual gifts to others. It is a natural outworking of what is in your heart. Also, if you dont show love to someone why are they going to want to receive of your gifts.

Love has to be the motivation for everything we do and for the use of our gifts, otherwise we give out of selfish ambition and hurt people by giving them too much of us and not enough of God and also love enables us to keep on going, to keep on giving "It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." I've seen a lot of people quit on my Pastor over the years and if I don't have love and don't decide to keep on loving what is to stop me doing the same thing???

At the end of the day when one has used their gift to be a "blessing"to others, all of that mean nothing if you don't have love.

Love is the foundation to operate in all gifts.  The purpose that God has given us gifts is to exemplify love to one another.  God is love and if we are to immulate Him, we must have love.

When you have love, your motivations for service will be of purity and humbleness.

God is the giver of all gifts and God is love, unless you have love in your heart for one another, which is the greates commandment then you will not be effective

It means exactly what it says. God is Love and without him at the root of everything your next move is pointless any in capacity.

I feel and think if you don't love the Lord and His Word to the fullest. Your gifts will not come or be at its best.

The word of God says that "God is love". What more can I say? How can a craft operate and fulfill it's purpose, without the instruction of The Craftsman?

1Jo 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (KJV)

1Jo 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. (NIV)
