An armorbearer is a minister's assistance.  They help prepare the minister for teaching and preaching as well as facilitate the Word going forth to the people.  Armourbearers can carry many titles..the counselor, the administrative assistant, or the personal assistant...the armborbearer is the help for the minister.

An armorbearer is someone annointed by God to serve and be of support for their leader. They are to help them fight the fight of faith and to be an encouragement. Its a servant whose desire is to serve the God in man!

I thought that an armorbearer was just someone who carries the preachers bags and Bible. This is what I saw so I thought that this was all there was to it.

An Armorbearer is one that prays for, minister to, encourage, and supports the Leader that God has called. No matter what they stand by them and support them.

It is a calling of the Most High GOD to pray for and to serve in the spirit of servanthood. It is laying down your life to promote the person you are serving  for the sake of the Gospel. It could be as simple as hanging their coat up or giving them a drink of water. It is being available and attentive to whatever they may have need of and doign it before being asked. It is serving them in a spirit of humility esteeming them better than yourself. Because GOD gives you this blessed privilege whoever they minister to you are ministering to also only in a behind the scenes manner.  In other words you may not be the one giving the altar call but because you served whomever GOD has called you to it enabled them to give the altar call. It is also not about seeking applause. It is a blessing, a privilege that GOD calls certain people to.
