I believe this is a person who is spiritually connected more than natural things like carrying a briefcase, giving a drink of water. You have to be able to flow with your leader, feel them spiritually w/o saying a word.

A person that supports physically and spiritually their leader, someone that intercedes and encourages, is lead by the Holy Spirit in how to serve their leader at any given point in time.  Someone that is loyal and if need be not afraid to make a fool of themselves by doing what God has called them to do even if no one else is doing it.

An Armor bearer is a supporting foundation/structure for tangible ministries. An Armor bearer is a person that is secure enough in himself through his relationship with GOD that he can survive without the limelight often associated with ministry.
