I didn't notice my zeal until I got into a spirit filled & led church. When I first joined the ministry, I was excited and a spiritiual gift was upon immediately however, I didn't know it at the time. As I started to first participate in the Tuesday night prayer and Thursday night worship services, I noticed a change in myself. I started to take prayer and fasting seriously and to really seek the Lord. However, as I started to take prayer and fasting seriously, my zeal would go down as things began to change for me, my church and my family. I noticed that I was having to many highs and lows. The steps I have taken in order to not have these constant fluctuations is more prayer time before I leave home in the morning. I am consistant with early morning prayer time with the Father. I didn't realize that it really does set the tone for the day. I am also learning to meditate on God's word other than just reading the word like a novel when it is not. The word is becoming alive to me one day at a time. I am learning to really love God and people.

Prayer (connects me to God and the people I'm praying for), fasting and using what He's given me. I find if He's given me a word for someone etc. and I don't share it the anointing starts to fade, if I give it away He gives me more.

The best way I have found is to be around others that have a zeal for God. No matter how long we have been in the ministry there is always room for growth. I try to use every opportunity available to learn something new. Whether it is attending conferences, seminars, bible studies, etc.. If the word of God is being taught, there is new revelation to be received.

My zeal is monitired by the results it produces. I keep it hot by allowing the spirit to direct me to new ideas and ways of improving and perfesting my service.

In order for me to keep my anointing hot, I must have constant communication with God. The more intimate time I spend with Him, the closer we become and the stronger my anointing gets.

Before I got saved I was on drugs real bad and had lost everything and I was just telling my Bishop about How I use to go after those drugs and how I would do anything for them...well I use the same energy that I use to go after the drugs with....to operate in the things of God, and to serve my Bishop.
