Serve Discerning God's Season of Diversity

No man is poor who has had a godly mother. -Abraham Lincoln

If you were asked, "Who prays for you or who prayed for you?" What would your answer be? If you are like most of us you would give one of three answers, "My mother," "My grandmother," or "My wife?" It's a known fact; God has given woman through His gifts a burden and responsibility for prayer. Women are one of His great instruments of prayer and intercession.

Christian Comedian Jesse Duplantis (the man who went to heaven and back), like many, attributes his mother's prayers to have largely influenced him while running from God. He testifies about how she partnered with God to get him saved and insists he would not be alive if she had not prayed.

God is still using women of God to pray in partnership with Him. What woman prayed you through to salvation, to healing or deliverance? God is elevating women of God in this long awaited season. He is raising them up to assume their place of leadership, service and partnership with men in the house of God. He is calling his church to embrace gender diversity. Diversity simply means variety or different.

So put another way, God is calling His Church to reflect His heart by including a variety of race, men and women in the Body of Christ. It is no longer acceptable to be satisfied with a whole group full of one gender or one race for that matter. Your church or team should at least reflect the mixture in your community. To create a good atmosphere for diversity to grow and thrive in your church or area of influence start with this:

Discern the times (seasons) and diversify. Allow the Holy Spirit to rule. Jesus said to a group of people that were criticizing him and asking for a sign, "You can discern the weather. When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red; and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening? You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the times. (Matt. 16:2-4)

Don't be like those critical spirited people; recognize and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Men of God all over the world are in revival. God is calling and setting them in their rightful place in the family and the church. At the same time, He is causing recognition, elevation and honor for His women. Your church, your area of influence should reflect the season of God.

Meditation Moment: For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function…Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them… --Romans 12:4,6a
